General Admission
Offers access to several designated areas largely in the Western section of the track. Many of these areas are elevated offering good views. Some of the very best atmosphere tends to be created from the fans in these areas.
Grandstand C
Located by the Europcar Corner, and with great views of the Stadium area, this is a fantastic stand to see cars coming through the slow, sweeping turn before accelerating directly towards stand C, then swerving towards the turns and chicane section. An exciting place for possible overtaking, as the Stadium offers a series of challenges for cars coming off the first DRS zone.
Visible action zones: Turns 13, 14
Grandstand E
Located at the end of the Pit Straight, Stand E offers an overall good view of the Main Straight and Seat Corner, down to Wurth Corner. At the end of the second DRS zone, this is the place to be to see possible overtaking action!
Visible action zones: Main Straight, Turn 1
Grandstand F
This is undoubtedly one of the best grandstands for close-up views of overtaking into turn 1 as it stands, well positioned at the apex to the corner. Then follow the action around turn 2 and disappearing around turn 3.
Seats in the upper rows will have no issues seeing over the catch fencing after the point of turn in though the top of the fence does cover the racing line on the approach.
Whatever you see of the cars in the infield section from turn 5 to 7 will really be just a glimpse.
Grandstand G
Stretching around turn 12, 24 block Grandstand G is a mammoth grandstand with some of the best views of the circuit.
Blocks 18 – 24 of the stand have an expansive view of the track from La Caixa to the pitlane entry and the final turn 16, providing ample opportunity to appreciate the racing over a number of varying types of corners and for a generous duration of time. There is a lower likelihood of overtaking, but having such a panoramic view of so much of the circuit, few fans will be disappointed.
Grandstand J
Grandstand J occupies land between the start/finish line and turn one. You will get to see some pit stops and the pit exit is just opposite seats in the right hand side of the stand.
Looking across to the infield section you see the cars exit turn 5, take on the sweeping turn 6 and disappear behind a grandstand.
Grandstand N
If you want to see the phenomenal sight of an F1 car take on a corner at speed then look no further than Grandstand N. From seats here you’ll see the cars exit turn 8, then a short time later flick right into the sweeping turn 9
This is not an overtaking spot but turn 9 is a high speed, exciting corner and a crucial corner to get right before entering the long back straight.
The Main Grandstand
One of very few that is covered to offer protection from the elements. This Grandstand is in the prime location overlooking the grid, pits and start/finish line. This grandstand is covered.

Train and Shuttle
The train is the most affordable way to get to the Spanish Grand Prix. Montmelo train station is the closest stop to the Grand Prix circuit and commuter trains from Barcelona reach the station in about 25 minutes.

Spanish train operator Rondials usually put on extra services to deal with the hoards of F1 fans, usually with one train running every 20 minutes from Barcelona Sants, Barcelona Passeig de Gracia and Barcelona El Clot-Arago stations. You can expect it to still be pretty crowded though, particularly on Sunday after the race.
There’s no need to book tickets in advance as there are no seat reservations on these trains. Arrive at the station in good time and purchase on the day of travel, or, if you purchased the T-10 ticket package (see above) you can use one of these.
Shuttle bus
Montmelo train station is about a 30 minute walk from the circuit. Follow the signs, the crowd, or the sound of F1 cars. If you want to save your legs there is a shuttle service to and from the circuit for a nominal fee of about 1 or 2 Euros, though reports in previous years have noted that these buses are not frequent enough to cater for the vast numbers of fans, and walking may be your fastest option.
Bus
The Sagalés bus company provide transport to the circuit from Barcelona Nord bus terminal and makes a cost effective alternative to a taxi and much less time consuming option than the train. The coach service is available for Friday, Saturday and Sunday and the journey time from station to circuit is about 45 minutes.
Another bus route also by Sagalés runs from Lloret de Mar on Saturday and Sunday only, and takes about 2 hours to reach the circuit in Montmelo.
Return tickets starting from under €20 can be booked at Motorsport Tickets.
Taxi
A taxi to the Circuit de Catalunya from Barcelona will take about 40 minutes and cost upwards of €65. If thinking of getting a taxi to the circuit, try to arrange something in advance, especially for the return trip after the race on Sunday where you could potentially be waiting a very long time for an available taxi.
- Take the train: Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya is next to the small town of Montmeló, approximately 30km north east of central Barcelona. It’s located between two major highways, making it easy to get to if you are driving. There are regular bus and train services from the city to the circuit on race weekend as well. Taking the train is a popular way to get to and from the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya each day. The closest station to the circuit is Montmelo, which is on the regional train network, not the metro. This means you need to purchase a separate ticket, which costs around 4 EUR return (you can also purchase for multiple days). Take the Renfe R2 (dark green) or R2 Nord (light green) train from either Sants Estacio, Passeig de Gracia or El Clot in the direction of Granollers or Saint Celoni. The train itself takes around 20-30 minutes, but allow yourself a further 30-45 minutes or so to walk from the Montmelo station to the circuit. There’s also a shuttle bus from Montmelo to the circuit (tickets cost around 2 EUR each way) but it leaves from the center of the town, about 10 minutes walk from the train station in the direction of the circuit. It will drop you off near turn 1, around 10 minutes walk from entrance Gate 5.
- Take the bus: Sagales runs a regular bus service on Grand Prix weekend from Estació del Nord to Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya with a drop-off point just 300 metres from the circuit entrance (as opposed to 2km for the train.) The journey takes around 45 minutes and costs approximately €15 return. The frequency of the buses increases over the course of the weekend. Sagales has also run buses to the circuit (only on Saturday & Sunday) from the largest towns on the Costa Brava, including Lloret de Mar and Blanes – but this offer has not yet been confirmed for 2023.
