Directions to F1-circuit (Monza) with public transportation
The following transit lines have routes that pass near F1-circuit Monza – Supplied by moovitapp.com
COACH & BUS
Two public bus routes run from Monza city to the circuit during the race weekend; Bus 204 and Bus 221. Bus 204 stops near Monza station and drops passengers off close to the Vedano entrance. Bus 221 also stops by Monza station, and drops spectators by the Biassono entrance. Both buses will run at regular intervals over the race weekend and can be paid upon arrival.
A shuttle bus also runs from Monza station (Porta Castello exit) to the Vedano entrance (Entrance A) of the circuit throughout the weekend (approximately €5.00 per person). Please be aware it can be a 20 minute walk from the drop-off point to the circuit gates.
TAXI
Taxis go to and from the parking zones near the circuit, with the pick-up and drop-off point located in Via Cesana and Villa in Biassono (near the gas station). Please note, as the circuit is located inside a national park, taxis will not be allowed to stay inside the circuit.
TRAIN
Biassono/Lesmo station is located a short walk from the track, located near stands 9/10. Direct Trenord trains run from Milano Centrale, Milano Porto Garibaldi and Sesto San Giovanni train stations to Biassono-Lesmo Parco and Monza F.S railway stations over the race weekend. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Trenord train tickets are priced at u20AC13 each day for a return ticket from any Lombardy station to Biassono-Lesmo Parco station, or u20AC5 for a return ticket from Milano Porta Garibaldi train station to Biassono-Lesmo Parco station.
Monza station is located in Via Caduti del Lavoro and is the main railway in the Brianza area. The walk from Monza station to the circuit take approximately 50 minutes.
Monza train station is in Monza town centre, about 6.6 km from the track. Regular suburban train lines S8, S9 and S11 cover the trip from Milan to Monza in about 20 minutes and run at least every half an hour.

From here there are a number of ways to continue to the circuit which are listed below. Keep in mind that Monza’s parkland is huge – one of the biggest in Europe. However you proceed, you’ll still face a 10-15 minute walk to your grandstand.
- Shuttle Bus. Over the Grand Prix weekend (Friday to Sunday) F1 fans can use a free shuttle bus service between Monza and the circuit. Exit the station to Piazza Castello (follow the sea of red if you’re not sure) and the bus is there. The shuttle is usually jam-packed and standing room only – not the most comfortable of rides but it’s only about 20 minutes. The bus stops inside the park at the intersection of Viale Cavriga and Viale Mirabello. From here it’s about a 15-minute walk to the circuit.
- Regular Bus. For a more comfortable alternative to the free shuttle bus, there are two regular buses that connect Monza Station to the circuit. Bus 204 drops fans off at Verdano gate and Bus 221 stops at Verdano and Porta S. Maria delle Selve gates. Both services leave from Corsa Milano near the station.
- Walk. The station is about a 40-minute walk to the gates of the circuit so not recommended for everyone given you’ll face another longish walk to reach your seats. But if you’re fit and not in a rush, it’s a nice way to avoid a cramped bus.
- Onward Trains. The closest station to the gates of the circuit is the tiny ‘Biassono/Lesmo’ station to the northeast of the circuit. If you’ve planned your arrival to coincide with a train to Biassono, you can continue on one of the regular trains. It’s about a 10-minute walk from here to Monza’s North Gate.
Bus
Grand Prix or no Grand Prix, there are regular buses connecting Milan and Monza operated by ATM. Bus lines 723, 724, and 722. You could also take the metro as far as Sesto 1 ° Maggio FS on line 1. From here catch bus Z221 to Monza.
Driving to the Italian Grand Prix
Times for driving to the circuit under normal conditions are provided below but allow extra time during a Grand Prix weekend, especially after Sunday’s race. Rental companies like Hertz and Europcar have depots at all of Milan’s airports.
To get from Milan to the circuit head northeast along the Viale Fulvio Testi and continue onto the SS36. Exit to Monza/Saronno and merge onto Viale Lombardia. At the roundabout take the 3rd exit onto Viale Cesare Battisti. After 1.5 km turn left onto the Viale Regina Margherita and continue onto Viale Brianza. From here follow local signs to parking areas.
