The Santa Stakes – a speed jumping class

The FEI World CupTM Dressage Grand Prix is the first round of the two phase competition (the Freestyle to Music forms the second part and will be held on the Friday evening). In the Grand Prix, riders perform a specified set of movements.

FEI World CupTM Driving – a part of the FEI World CupTM series; this indoor arena driving competition sees teams of four horses and one driver drive a carriage around, through and over a set of obstacles against the clock, with two grooms also on the carriage. Faults are gained if an obstacle is knocked or the incorrect route is taken. The top score with least faults wins.

The Ivy Stakes – a jumping class

The FEI World CupTM Dressage Freestyle to Music is a dressage competition where each competitor performs a test to music which they have put together themselves including a selection of required movements; each test is different and the highest score wins. Dressage involves a horse and rider carrying out a sequence of highly skilled movements from memory, demonstrating the power and elegance of the horse and is described as ‘the ultimate expression of horse training’ by the FEI.

The Christmas Elf Mini Stakes – a showjumping class for ponies under 128cm with junior riders. Top riders on equal faults go forward to jump off against the clock.

The FEI Jumping World CupTM – one of the biggest showjumping competitions at Olympia, where riders with equal faults go forward to a jump-off against the clock. Riders can win points which go toward their World Longines Ranking.

The Christmas Tree Stakes – the top riders on equal faults go forward to jump off against the clock.

The Pony Club Mini-Major – some of the Pony Club’s best riders are paired with a professional rider to take part in a relay jumping competition against the clock.

The Mistletoe Stakes – a speed class where the fastest rider wins. Time penalties are added for any fences knocked down.

The Under 25 British Championship – The best of young riders go head to head.

The Grand Prix – one of the most important classes of the week, jumped at a height of 1.60m. All those who jump clear go through to jump off against the clock.
