Carabao Cup Final 25th February 2024 Charter Train – Important Update

Please see important information regarding your train travel on the 25th February.

In accordance with the Sporting Events Act, we are not allowed the sale or consumption of alcohol on board.
Ticketing:
Each member of your party will be issued with a paper ticket which you must present at both stations. In addition to this ticket, once on board, our Stewards will issue you with a wrist band which you will also need to show on the return journey to board the train.
On your paper ticket will be the letter of the carriage you need to board. Please make sure you are in the correct carriage for both journeys.
Ticket collection:
You can either collect your tickets from our office: Worldchoicesports, 37-41 Albert Road, Widnes WA8 6JA between 09:00 -17:00 between Wednesday 21st -Saturday the 24th February or collect from a member of staff at the station on the day 25th February. We will have a staff member there at table from 08:00.
With either option, you will need to know your booking reference, lead passengers name and email address used to make the booking in order to collect your tickets. We may also ask for some additional ID, so please have it ready.
Outbound Journey departing 09:24
We will start boarding the train at 09:04. Please arrive early as there over 600 passengers to board.
Please arrive especially early, if you are collecting tickets on the day,
Return Journey departing 19:56
Our train will start boarding at 19:41. There will be 2 queues leading to the door at the side of the station which leads to the platform. One for standard class and one for 1st class.
Once the doors open, please wait for your stewards to let you down to the platform. There is plenty of time, so please do not push and walk in an orderly fashion, for everyone’s safety.
We have allowed plenty of time for extra time, penalties etc. The train cannot wait, if you are late!
Anti Social behaviour
There is zero tolerance to any anti social behaviour. Anyone who abuses our staff or any other passengers on the train will be reported to British Transport Police and the train will stop at the nearest station available for them to be handed over to the police. Likewise anyone without a valid ticket on either train will be reported.
